Jake Matthaei has over 10 years of experience working with privately held businesses and worked in the financial industry for the last 7 years helping owners with strategic planning and accessing capital. He has a depth of experience in a multitude of industries, specifically focusing on manufacturing, construction, telecommunications, and consumer products.

With a background in commercial banking, Jake brings to Merit Harbor Capital a dynamic skillset of business analysis and middle market development. He has worked with business owners with $5MM-$100MM+ in revenue for the past 10+ years on growth strategies. Jake has experience on the strategic side of operations as well as the financial, particularly related to accessing capital, cash management, forecasting and stress testing, and profitability/margin analysis. In addition, Jake was a commercial banker for 5 years, proving out financial analysis techniques and learning the ins and outs of the credit world. He has helped companies access hundreds of millions of dollars to facilitate their operations and general growth. In combination with, identifying strategic acquisition targets for clients and working to facilitate the transaction. Jake is a Northwest native with a BA in Finance and Economics from Washington State University and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Washington. He has been involved with different industry groups such as the Risk Management Association (RMA), Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society (BGS), and the Center for Advanced Manufacturing in the Puget Sound (CAMPS).
